Johnny Staats
& The Delivery Boys
And
Johnny Staats
Project
Johnny Staats, a West Virginia native, exploded onto the Nashville and national scene in 2000, when his first CD, “Wires and Wood” by The Johnny Staats Project, was the talk of Music City and quickly received international attention and acclaim. Johnny’s vocals and astonishing guitar and mandolin speed and creativity have since won him a large and varied following worldwide.

Johnny has appeared on NBC’s “The Today Show,” CNN shows including “Larry King Live,” the CBS Evening News, CMT Country Music Television, as well as on numerous iconic national programs and stages (including the Grand Ole Opry five times).

Since then, Johnny has continued to record and play at concerts on his own with his rock-solid bluegrass band, "The Delivery Boys", consisting of long-time member Butch Osborne on the banjo, Ray Cossin on fiddle and vocals, Doug Cossin on guitar and vocals, and Dave Vaughn on bass and vocals.

And now, Johnny has reformed The Johnny Staats Project to explore, create and perform multiple genres of music beyond the bluegrass he regularly performs, and to further expand live performance opportunities and experiences. JSP music selections and programs are specifically tailored to each booking, making The Johnny Staats Project a musically agile and versatile group suitable for essentially any venue, event or occasion.
The Johnny Staats Project also features West Virginia natives Rick Poling and Roger Bush, who began playing music together in their pre-teen and teenage years. Roger is well-known in the mid-Ohio Valley area for his stellar vocals and brings his distinctive drumming and percussion skills to JSP. Rick, known to many West Virginians as a former West Virginia University “Mountaineer” mascot as well as an accomplished pianist and vocalist, adds vocals, piano/organ/synthesizer and left-hand keyboard bass to complete JSP’s precise, yet rich and full, array of instrumental and vocal sounds.
Southern West Virginia based 1980s rock tribute act Hair Supply formed in 2018 as a vehicle for paying homage to the rock hits and anthems of the most decadent decade in popular music history.
Sponsored by the HD Media Family of Newspapers and East Coast Tees, the boys have garnered a reputation for their stage shows including era-specific attire, tongue-in-cheek stage banter and spot-on accurate covers of the bands and artists that ruled the decade that represented the apex of FM Radio hysteria.
In 2023, Hair Supply was crowned, "The Official Party Band" of 98.7 FM The Mountain - Wild and Wonderful Classic Rock, who also came aboard as a band sponsor.
HS enjoys recreating the mega-hits of artists like Poison, Warrant, Bryan Adams, Foreigner, Billy Squire, Journey and Loverboy, among others.
HS prides itself on their showmanship and attention to detail as their audience has grown exponentially as they have become regulars at fairs, festivals, clubs, class reunions and corporate functions across West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kentucky.
Hair Supply has shared festival stages with Rick Springfield, Shenandoah, Martina McBride, Fastball and Everclear among many others.
